Welcome to the Streets and Trails blog! I am a certified planner and professional engineer who develops context-sensitive transportation and land use solutions to enhance and revitalize communities. My passion is transforming our communities by making smart transportation choices. We need to improve communities through transportation, not the other way around.
Through 23 years of consulting, mostly with public agencies, I’ve been fortunate to gain a broad range of experience in transportation planning, transportation facility design, and land use. As vice president of a consulting firm in Wilmington, Delaware, my current projects are largely focused on planning transportation and land use investments that support livable and sustainable communities emphasizing walking, bicycling, and transit. Clients and communities have benefited from my expertise in meaningfully involving the public and project stakeholders throughout the planning and design process.
This blog is an opportunity for me to share some of what I’ve learned about improving communities, as well as my love for walking and biking. Thanks for visiting!
